What changes have been made to the administration and control over import/export trade in China?
Relevant Rules on the Administration on Qualifications for Import and Export Businesses have been adopted by MOFTEC, making clear the requirements and procedures needed to follow to obtain the qualifications to import and export. More regulations and rules concerning the import/export of technologies, import/export administration by licenses and quotas, designated trade, and other foreign trade related regulations and administrative rules are also enacted. New directories of restricted or prohibited import/export items are also provided.
China has also revised its foreign trade protection regulations, including Regulations on Antidumping, Regulations on Anti-Countervailing, and Regulations on Trade Protection Measures which are in line with WTO rules.
