What is exclusive license of a trademark registration?

Based on the legal rights of his trademark registration, the registrant licenses the licensee to solely use its registered mark on the designated goods within a designated period and territory. Under such exclusive license contract, the registrant waives his trademark rights of these goods within such period and territory. Under such license relationship, if infringement occurs, the exclusive licensee could directly take actions against the infringement by himself.
