17. How does the new TMO deal with the revocation?

The new TMO extends the grounds for revocation of trademarks including as follows:
- Non-use for a period of three years following registration of the trademark (this compares to the requirement of five years non-use under the old law).
- The trademark has become the common name in the trade for a product or service for which it is registered.
