What are the current Export Licensing requirements for Automobile parts?
Five ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), recently issued a circular that introduces an export licensing requirement for automobile products (including passenger and commercial vehicles, chassis and parts, etc.). Enterprises engaged in the manufacturing of automobiles that meet certain requirements must submit relevant documents and a list of authorized export trading enterprises to the relevant local branch of the MOC (Office in charge of Mechanic and Electronic Industries) before 15 October of each year. A list of enterprises qualifying for an export license will be issued every December, followed by the issuance of licenses in January. Export licenses apply to the above-mentioned products that are exported through general trade, processing trade, border trade and donation.
