Yes. Notwithstanding the above-mentioned improvements, there is still a need for promoting unified national treatment and for improving the coordination among relevant agencies. The standards drafting process needs to be open to public comment, national and local standards need to be more consistent, and testing needs to be more objective and impartial. While some improvements have been made, there are concerns about implementation, duplicate testing and type-approval processes, as well as the involvement of multiple agencies in standards enforcement, will continue to result in burdensome administrative costs and the creation of non-tariff barriers.
