What factors determine the choice of law that will be applicable to a given transaction?
(a): Generally, the choice made by parties in contract. If this is ineffective, courts will apply their own domestic choice of law rules, weighing the expectations of the parties and the relevant policies of the forum, as well as the policies of other interested states. Domestic choice of law will include any treaties to which the forum state is a contracting state.
