On what three principles is prescriptive jurisdiction based in international law?
(1) Territoriality- states have power to prescribe binding laws over all persons, property, and conduct within their territorial boundaries
(2) Nationality- States can enact binding laws covering their nationals wherever in the world
(3) Effects- states have prescriptive jurisdiction over persons (other than their own nationals), property, and conduct located in other states when these persons, property, or conduct cause substantial effects within the prescribing states.
