Beijing, China - June 1, 2006 - Lehman, Lee & Xu has started a scholarship program to be awarded to top-performing law students the Chinese University of Politics and Law. The program is to be implemented in the fall semester of 2006, and will be open to all 3rd year law students.
The scholarship will be fully funded by Lehman, Lee & Xu, and will be awarded to ten students (three Outstanding Awards and seven Awards of Excellence). Faculty will nominate fifteen students, of whom the ten award winners will be selected from, based on recommendations from an awards committee composed of the firm's attorneys, and other academics.
The program was started as a result of Managing Partner, Edward Lehman, and his desire to give back to China, and its students.
