Edward Lehman Arranging Initial Meetings for US IP Associations with SIPO
Edward Lehman, Managing Director of Lehman, Lee & Xu China and Mongolian Lawyers, is arranging meetings between the representatives of a large number of US IP/legal associations and the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) in Beijing. Under the coordination and arrangement of Mr. Lehman and his partners in the Lehman, Lee & Xu law firm, the US IP/legal representatives, representing over 30 US IP associations and bars, are scheduled to have the first meeting with SIPO on April 23, 2012. During the meetings, they are going to have a comprehensive discussion on issues relating to the Chinese and US patent laws. They are also to have a discussion on further cooperation between SIPO and the US associations and bars. It is expected that a long-term cooperation mechanism will be established in the IP fields between both sides.
With Mr. Lehman’s arrangement, the US association representatives will also have another meeting at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they are to give a presentation on issues on the US patent laws.
