Beijing -- December 26, 2007 -- Edward E. Lehman, managing director of Lehman, Lee & Xu, has been invited for the 21st time for membership in the China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS).  CIPS is one of the largest and oldest intellectual property societies in China, dedicated to disseminating and popularizing intellectual property law, as well as the training of intellectual property professionals. The society offers consultation services for intellectual property conflicts and actively carries out international and regional exchanges among intellectual property professionals.

 

A pioneer in China, Mr. Lehman was the first foreign lawyer to be qualified and invited to join the China Intellectual Property Society in 1987, just two years after the establishment of the State Intellectual Property Office and the China Trademark office. Mr. Lehman also holds the distinction of the first private intellectual property lawyer to join CIPS.
