Delegation From Lehman, Lee & Xu Meets With Liberian Ambassador To China

Beijing, China – Monday 15 July, 2008 –

A delegation from Lehman, Lee & Xu’s Beijing office met with Liberian ambassador Mrs. Neh Dukuly Tolbert today to discuss potential areas of cooperation. "I’m an American and we share a unique history with Liberia" states Edward Lehman, Managing Director of Lehman, Lee & Xu "it was our pleasure to meet with her excellency madam Dukuly Tolbert this afternoon to discuss the Liberian economy, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the changing legal landscape in China".

China and Liberia share some distinctive characteristics. Both are developing countries, which went through periods of turbulence but are now on the road to prosperity. Both countries are amongst the oldest  nations  in  their   respective continents;  Liberia  is  the oldest   independent  country  in Africa while China is one of the oldest countries in Asia with thousands of years of history.

"What always strikes me about meeting the ambassadors from smaller countries is their friendly and open demeanor" states Ed Lehman who has always held an interest in Liberia. "Since learning about it in school long ago I’ve found it a fascinating country due to its unique history and I hope we can work with  the Liberian embassy and  the Liberian people  in a mutually cooperative way  in  the future."
